San Mateo County: Cleanup at San Bruno Mountain State Park Benefits People, Butterflies

Approximately 30 PG&E employees and their families volunteered at the San Bruno Mountain State Park in San Mateo County in celebration of Earth Day.

At the event, held on Saturday, April 16, volunteers were tasked with doing park restoration including invasive species such as gorse and cape ivy, maintenance of the Summit Loop Trail and cleaning up debris.

The volunteers’ enthusiasm was evident as many spoke positively about enhancing the environment.

The San Bruno park provides habitat for many species of rare and endangered plants and butterflies, like the Mission Blue butterfly.
