PG&E will host open houses on Thursday in Fresno and Mountain View to talk to residents about upcoming pipeline replacements.
The utility is replacing portions of its large transmission gas pipelines as part of its extensive, multiyear program to improve the safety of its natural gas system. Replacement pipelines are made with modern materials and installed using safe and proven installation methods that are used throughout the nation.
In most cases, gas service will continue without interruption during the replacements.
Experts from PG&E will be on hand to answer questions on the replacements in each city, which are expected to last several weeks. Poster boards will provide additional information.
These are the dates and locations of the open houses:
- Thursday, April 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Madison Elementary School (330 S. Brawley Ave., Fresno, CA 93706).
- Thursday, April 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Crittenden Middle School (1701 Rock St., Mountain View, CA 94043).
