HINKLEY – The Hinkley Rollicking Ranchers 4H Club hosts a Community Information Day this Saturday (Oct. 6) and PG&E will be supporting the event so that the funds raised can go directly to the group.
The event will be held at the Hinkley Fire Station on Flower Street just off Highway 58 from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. A meal with a BBQ tri-tip sandwich, two side dishes and drink will cost $5.
PG&E provided a $6,000 grant to underwrite the event.
Besides the meal, the event will include free booth space, a bounce house for children, fire trucks on display, free blood pressure checks and community information.
For more information or to purchase a ticket, call (760) 447-0658.
PG&E continues to support the Hinkley community. Recently, a PG&E grant provided a new fence for the Hinkley School. The utility also has established the Hinkley Career Training Program to help young adults get job experience and career-building skills.
