San Jose: Open House to Answer Questions about Pipeline Replacement

PG&E will host an open house on Friday (Dec. 14) in San Jose to talk to residents about an upcoming pipeline replacement project.

The utility is replacing portions of its small-diameter distribution gas pipelines as part of its extensive, multiyear program to improve the safety of its natural gas system. Replacement pipelines are made with modern materials and installed using safe and proven installation methods that are used throughout the nation.

In most cases, gas service will continue without interruption during the replacement projects.

Experts from PG&E will be on hand to answer questions on the replacement, which is expected to last several weeks. Poster boards will provide additional information.

Here is the time and location of the open house:

  • Friday, Dec. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Vietnam Town, 909 Story Road, San Jose.

For more information on natural gas safety, customers can visit or call PG&E’s gas system helpline at 1-888-743-7431.
