Roseville: Open House to Answer Questions about Pipeline Replacement

PG&E will host an open house today (Sept. 16) to talk to residents about an upcoming transmission pipeline replacement project in Placer County.

The company will be replacing sections of its natural gas pipeline near Antelope Road, PFE Road, Vineyard Road, Central Avenue and Baseline Road. Work is expected to begin in mid-September and last until early November.

The project is part of PG&E’s system-wide program to ensure the safety of transmission pipelines that deliver gas across the region. It involves excavating around the existing underground pipeline and installing new pipe using industry recognized and proven installation techniques.

In most cases, gas service will continue without interruption during the replacement projects. PG&E will contact customers if there will be any impacts.

Experts from PG&E will be on hand to answer questions on the replacements. Poster boards will provide additional information.

Here is the date and location of the open house:

  • Monday, Sept. 16, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Elk’s Lodge (3000 Brady Lane) in Roseville
