Looking Back: Watch a Currents Video from 2011 on Helicopter Work near San Mateo Bridge

This week, PG&E crews are using helicopters to do work on transmission towers and electric lines high above the San Mateo Bridge.

It’s part of a $10 million project to upgrade electric reliability on the Peninsula, and includes “long-lining,” where PG&E workers are suspended from helicopters and delivered to 150-foot-tall towers to do their work.
