HINKLEY— PG&E helped coordinate the third Hinkley Community Cleanup Day as the community worked together to beautify its desert surroundings. The result was a lot of trash — two industrial roll-off dumpsters and a large moving van filled with tires and recycled e-waste.
Hinkley 4H Club members and their parents, along with representatives from San Bernardino County and the Hinkley Community Center, joined PG&E for the Feb. 25 cleanup.
“It is great to get together and participate as a Club, get the kids involved and give back to the community, doing something positive,” said Ericka Mansfield, one of the owners of Mansfield Grading & Excavating, which helped in the cleanup.
Ignacio Nuñez, San Bernardino County code enforcement supervisor thanked the community and helping keep the community clean and removing blight.
PG&E’s Jose Moreno-Jimenez said the company was pleased to coordinate the work.
“It is exciting to see new faces each year and great to have the 4H families and Community Center come together to host this event,” he said.
