A short-term rotation led to a career high point for Mike Farinsky. In mid-July, he volunteered to temporarily fill PG&E’s vacant Central Coast Region superintendent position. One week later, the massive Soberanes Fire erupted. Before he knew it, he was overseeing the company’s efforts to restore service to 2,000 customers who lost power in the 67,000-acre wildfire.
