Today (Aug. 6) was a big day for 100 Fresno youngsters. They graduated from the PG&E Summer Jobs Program, now in its fourth year, which provides training to prepare local youth for the workforce.

Latino Employee Resource Group Collects Shirts for Valley Farmworkers

When PG&E’s Latino Employee Resource Group learned there was a need for long-sleeve shirts for Central Valley farmworkers, they immediately sprang into action. Within a few weeks, they collected about 120 shirts and 245 bandanas from members in Fresno, Bakersfield and San Jose.

Trees Donated as Reminder to Call 811 Before Digging

At a safe-digging event in Fresno, PG&E representatives joined local officials to remind people to call 811 before starting any digging project. As a bonus, 100 trees were given away to those who pledged to call 811.
