Three new peregrine falcons recently hatched atop PG&E’s San Francisco headquarters (like these baby falcons that hatched there in 2012). The world has been watching them via a webcam, but up to now the young birds don’t have names. We’re going to do something about that.

A lot has changed since Brian Mork began working for the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco 28 years ago. Back then, energy efficiency wasn’t exactly top of mind. But it is today. PG&E recently helped the massive hotel save nearly $245,000 in energy costs. For hotels, the savings also benefit customers and the environment.

Tree mortality has grown due to the lingering drought and bark beetle infestations. The grants will be used to protect communities from wildfires in at least 18 high-risk counties by clearing brush and dead, dying or diseased trees for the current fire season.
