Sponsored by PG&E’s Supplier Diversity Department and the company’s Black Employee Resource Group, the “Doing Business with PG&E” workshop featured individuals who shared their knowledge on how to work with PG&E and how to get access to capital and contracts. Participants heard about the state of African-American-owned enterprises, listened to current primary vendors who partner with the utility and met other business peers.

PG&E Corporation Board of Directors Elects Anne Shen Smith as a Director

PG&E Corporation today announced the election of Anne Shen Smith to its Board of Directors and to the Board of Directors of its subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Smith recently retired as the chairman and chief executive officer of Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas), a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, after a 36-year career with that company.

PG&E Safely Restores Power to Nearly All Customers after Back-to-Back Weekend Storms

More than 2,000 PG&E personnel fanned out across Northern and Central California over the past five days to restore power to hundreds of thousands of customers impacted by the first storms of 2015. Heavy rain and high winds pummeled a large swath of the utility’s service area. From early morning on Friday through Tuesday, the utility restored service to nearly all of the more than 460,000 customers who lost power.
