PG&E/IBEW Lineman’s Rodeo Draws More Than 1,200 Spectators

Part-carnival, part-sporting event, the 3rd annual PG&E/IBEW Local 1245 Lineman’s Rodeo on Saturday drew a record crowd. More than 1,200 spectators filled PG&E’s training facility in Livermore, excited to see which PG&E journeyman and apprentice lineworkers would be selected to represent the company at the International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas in October.

PG&E announced on Friday that Helen A. Burt has been named to lead the utility’s Corporate Affairs team. In her new role, Burt, who has led the company’s Customer Care function since 2006, will oversee government relations at the federal, state and local levels along with corporate and community relations. She succeeds PG&E veteran Greg S. Pruett, who is retiring after more than 30 years with PG&E.

PG&E Corporation Reports Second-Quarter 2014 Results

PG&E Corporation’s second-quarter 2014 net income after dividends on preferred stock was $267 million or $0.57 per share, as reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This compares with $328 million, or $0.74 per share, for the second quarter of 2013.
