PG&E, BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS IN THREE COUNTIES LAUNCH 2015 SUMMER JOBS PROGRAM FOR TEENS

Students in Fresno, Bakersfield and the greater Sacramento areas have begun to receive career-readiness training as PG&E's Summer Jobs program returned for the fourth year. PG&E funds the program, a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs, that provides 200 students with paid summer internships and an even greater number of teens with critical job skills to help prepare them for careers.

Contra Costa County: PG&E Helping Communities Install LED Streetlights

PG&E is working with the City of Pittsburg and community of Bay Point to convert about 3,500 streetlights to energy efficient and longer-lasting LED fixtures. The new lights will not only consume less energy, but will provide better lighting for increased safety.

PG&E Substation Delivers Electricity and Art to an Oakland Neighborhood

Six months ago, PG&E’s Substation L — located on 20th Street in Oakland — had a graffiti problem. Today, thanks to some residents of neighboring Uptown Place, a local artist and PG&E, the substation is the colorful centerpiece of this busy neighborhood.
