VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN LAUDS PG&E FOR TRAINING NEXT GENERATION OF UTILITY WORKFORCE

PowerPathway, PG&E’s program to develop the next-generation utility workforce, got kudos from Vice President Joe Biden. In a visit to PG&E’s Oakport facility in Oakland, Biden met with PowerPathway participants and shared thoughts on the program with PG&E CEO and Chairman Tony Earley, Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf and Tom Dalzell, business manager of IBEW Local 1245.

Local merchants, artists, city leaders and neighborhood supporters met to commemorate the Tenderloin’s newest public art installation on PG&E’s Larkin Substation. The mural panels, created by Academy of Art students, provide a colorful timeline of one of San Francisco’s oldest and most diverse neighborhoods.

In his latest PG&E Perspectives, Chief Communications Officer Tim Fitzpatrick writes about the impact of the taxes paid by PG&E on local communities, such as Fresno, where a new electric control facility opened last year. This month, PG&E paid $172 million in taxes to 49 counties.
