LAST YEAR, PG&E CUSTOMERS SAVED $160 MILLION ON THEIR ENERGY BILLS DUE TO ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROGRAMS
It was a double victory for PG&E customers in 2014, according to just-released numbers. Thanks to taking advantage of energy-efficiency programs, customers saved $160 million on their energy bills and also avoided the emission of some 776,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide, the equivalent to removing 163,000 cars from the road. As the summer heats up, PG&E has reminders for some of those programs like rebates for pool pumps and Home Energy Checkups. The goal — increase the savings in 2015.
