PG&E COMMITS $100,000 TO BRING SOLAR TO UNDERSERVED NORTHERN AND CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COMMUNITIES
At a San Francisco job fair that brought together solar companies looking to hire, PG&E announced a $100,000 pledge to nonprofit GRID Alternatives to ensure solar is reaching underserved communities in Northern and Central California. The announcement comes about a week after the Obama administration called for more solar access in low- and moderate-income communities. PG&E’s decade-long partnership with GRID Alternatives has helped bring solar to 2,500 homes and amounted to about $60 million in energy savings.
