NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART PG&E ELECTRIC DISTRIBUTION CONTROL CENTER OPENS IN CONCORD

PG&E celebrated the opening of a new state-of-the-art electric distribution control center in Concord this week. Geisha Williams, president, PG&E Electric Operations, was joined by local dignitaries at the ribbon cutting on Thursday. The new center will enhance electric reliability for PG&E customers throughout the Bay Area and Central Coast. The $40 million facility is the second of three new control centers that will manage more than 140,000 miles of electric distribution lines serving nearly 16 million Californians.

With a little creativity and the help of PG&E's local team in Sonoma, the owner of a downtown business capitalized on recent construction work taking place outside her storefront. The owner of Artifax Art-to-Wear boutique incorporated construction chic into her window display as a PG&E gas safety project took place in the area.
