PG&E CELEBRATES VETERANS, EXPANDS POWERPATHWAY TRAINING FOR ACTIVE-DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS

As the nation celebrated Veterans Day 2015, PG&E cast a spotlight on employees supporting veterans' causes in their communities, like Cynthia Haynes and Martin Wright. The utility also showed its continued support for veterans with the announcement that it is adding a new PowerPathway training class for active-duty service members. All in a week where PG&E was again ranked a Top-100 Military Friendly Employer by G.I. Jobs Magazine and a Military Spouse Friendly Employer by Military Spouse Magazine.

PG&E Removing Trees Weakened by Drought, Beetle to Reduce Fire Fuel

Years of drought are affecting trees in state forests. In Madera County's Bass Lake area, trees are weakened from both lack of water and bark beetle infestations. With the support of local residents, PG&E is working with the U.S. Forest Service to remove dead and weakened trees so that they don't become fire fuel.

PG&E Corporation Appoints Jason P. Wells SVP & Chief Financial Officer

Jason P. Wells was named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for PG&E Corporation. Currently vice president of Business Finance for PG&E, he assumes his new role on Jan. 1. He takes over for Kent Harvey, who is retiring the first half of 2016.

Food Bank to Save $10,000 through Energy Efficiency and PG&E Rebates

The lights at the North State Food Bank in Oroville are brighter and its energy bills are falling, just as it gears up for the busy holiday season. Recently, the food bank made lighting and refrigeration upgrades with the help of PG&E rebates and incentives.
