PG&E Helps Sacramento Valley Students Learn About Energy Efficiency

PG&E Helps Sacramento Valley Students Learn About Energy Efficiency

An innovative program at some schools in El Dorado, Sutter and Yuba counties teaches students about the importance of energy efficiency and how they can help their families to save money. The program also focuses on energy safety. The information is connecting with the students, according to one teacher. "If your parents are wasting $25 or $50 because the thermostat is too high then that's money that can't be spent on you or family activities," she told her class. The program's success will mean that it will expand to other schools in 2012.
