More than 200 workers will get job-training and career-boosting skills as a result of a grant announced today by PG&E President Chris Johns in San Luis Obispo. The $20,000 PG&E Economic Vitality Grant is just one of 10 such awards that the company will be making. In all, 10 non-profits will share in $200,000 for job creation, business development and other economic opportunities.

The Commission granted about 50 percent of the revenue increase that PG&E requested for 2014 through 2016 to operate, maintain and modernize its gas distribution, electric distribution and electric generation systems and provide customer service.
