PG&E Safely Restores Power to Nearly All Customers after Back-to-Back Weekend Storms

More than 2,000 PG&E personnel fanned out across Northern and Central California over the past five days to restore power to hundreds of thousands of customers impacted by the first storms of 2015. Heavy rain and high winds pummeled a large swath of the utility’s service area. From early morning on Friday through Tuesday, the utility restored service to nearly all of the more than 460,000 customers who lost power.

PG&E Takes Action to Address Ex Parte Communication Issues Identified in Self-Report to CPUC Today; Pledges ‘No Excuses’ Compliance

Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) today (Sept. 15) notified the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) that an extensive internal review of nearly five years of emails between the company and officials at the Commission has identified a number of instances in which PG&E believes it violated the CPUC’s rules governing communications with the state regulator in the pending Gas Transmission & Storage rate case.

"PG&E" refers to Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation.
