In Bakersfield, in celebration of Earth Day, Greg Pruett, PG&E’s senior vice president of corporate affairs, led 85 volunteers — including PG&E employees, retirees and their families — as they worked side-by side with community members beautifying three sites.

More than 1,000 PG&E Volunteers Clean, Restore State Parks for Earth Day

PG&E workers, their families and friends – most wearing teal-blue company T-shirts – were armed with hammers, pruning shears and other tools as they broke through the morning stillness at 16 recreational sites. PG&E provided a $265,000 grant to the parks foundation and to participating parks for supplies and materials required to complete Earth Day and Park Champions Program projects and PG&E has given more than $1.5 million since the partnership began.

PG&E and Boys & Girls Clubs Team Up for Summer Jobs

This summer, 150 underserved teens from Fresno County will get valuable career-training, such as resume writing and how to conduct job interviews, as part of a first-time partnership between PG&E and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County. And 50 of these students who live in Fresno and Clovis will get paid summer jobs.

PG&E and VIA Motors showed off two extended-range electric pickup trucks at an event at PG&E’s San Francisco headquarters. The vehicles promise a plethora of advantages – driving with electricity, less pollution and exportable power, to name three – that could significantly benefit PG&E customers throughout California.
