In Sacramento today, PG&E hosted a Gas Safety Fleet Expo to showcase the utility’s newest vehicles that are helping crews determine where improvements can be made to the gas pipeline system. “This modern technology is going to put us in a whole new league in terms of our ability to safeguard our system,” said PG&E executive Kevin Knapp about the three vehicles on exhibit..

PG&E Adds Mobile Command Vehicles to Emergency-Response Capabilities

In December, PG&E rolled out a fleet of four 24-foot Sprinter vehicles as a mobile extension of the company’s Emergency Operations Center. The vehicles are strategically staged within PG&E’s service area – in Santa Rosa, San Jose, Stockton and San Francisco.

"PG&E" refers to Pacific Gas and Electric Company, a subsidiary of PG&E Corporation.
