As baseball season wrapped up, Wheatland’s little league team celebrated recent improvements to its home ballpark. New bleachers, dugouts and netting were installed, part of a PG&E effort to improve gas safety in the community.

PG&E is testing new “keyhole” technology that uses special tools and is less invasive when replacing service tee caps — underground pipe pieces that link together other pipes. The new method enhances safety and is more efficient and environmentally friendly because it eliminates larger digs and restoration.
