Earthquake Early Warning System Added to Some PG&E Elevators

PG&E has deployed a commercial-grade early warning system on a bank of four elevators at its downtown San Francisco headquarters. The 34-story building is the first high-rise building on the West Coast to have elevators equipped with the immediate, automated recall.

The San Francisco Giants and PG&E celebrate another “green” milestone at AT&T Park. A recent lighting project resulted in a home run of energy savings for AT&T Park and the Giants. In partnership with PG&E, the ballpark recently upgraded more than 556 traditional light bulbs to new energy efficient LED lights.

PG&E Volunteers Help Underprivileged Children Receive Back-to-School Shoes

Hundreds of underprivileged children will get the chance to start off on the right foot this school year, thanks to dozens of PG&E employees. This week, employees volunteered at My New Red Shoes in Redwood City, a local nonprofit that provides homeless and low-income Bay Area children with a brand new pair of shoes, just in time for the first day of school.
