PG&E Installing Self-Healing Technology to Speed-Up Power Restoration during Outages

PG&E is installing intelligent switches to build a smart grid serving the Live Oak area in Sutter County. In the event of an outage, this self-healing technology can isolate a trouble spot such as a downed power line or a utility pole damaged by a car crash, then reroute power to restore a majority of customers, all within a few minutes.

PG&E Volunteers Join Grid Alternatives to Install Solar Panels

Approximately 10 PG&E volunteers joined with solar job trainees from Grid Alternatives today to provide a Yuba City family with solar panels that will nearly eliminate their household electricity bills. The homeowners live in a Habitat for Humanity home completed in 1999.
