Cow Power: Renewable Natural Gas Projects Helping PG&E Meet Climate Goals
Company plans to add four additional projects this year
Providing natural gas from non-traditional sources, PG&E’s Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) program is helping to divert methane from dairies, landfills and food waste, and it plays a critical part in PG&E’s efforts to decarbonize the natural gas system and reduce emissions. PG&E brought four RNG interconnect projects online in 2021-2022 and plans to expand to an additional 4 projects in 2023. Watch this video about a project at Vander Woude Dairy in Merced that began supplying RNG to transportation customers in 2022.
