Pack and Evacuate in 10 Minutes: What One Family Learned During an Emergency Drill
Are you ready for the next emergency? As part of its public education efforts during National Preparedness Month in September, PG&E teamed up with a local Placer County fire department to put one family to the test. With little notice, the Childers family was put through a simulated wildfire evacuation and given 10 minutes to pack up their belongings and leave their home. “You think you’re ready, but are you? It’s scary,” said Michelle, who participated in the drill with her husband and their two children.
